Drugs and Hookers

So about a week ago I posted about quirks that I found confusing in men. Well, last night I met some of my girl friends for happy hour. And in all honesty, I have now say that women might be more insane than men.

Here are 2 excerpts from last nights conversations.

1. Me and my friend D discussing our New Year's Resolutions.

D: And no more fooling around with drugs. Can you believe I picked up a drug habit just to have something in common with a guy?

Me: Yeah. Well, I didn't like that whole thing from the beginning. And you are just lucky that your "habit" didn't become a "problem".

D: But you don't understand. I would have done anything to just to spend time with him.

Me: That is not true. What if he was into killing puppies? You wouldn't have killed puppies just to be close to him.

D: You know what, I might have. I might have killed a puppy if he asked me to. You don't understand how much I really, really liked him.

2. My friend Liz and I discussing a mutal friend who asked her on a date.

Liz: So Milton called me last me during the week and if I wanted to go into the city with him on Saturday night.

Me: That sounds like fun. He is a nice guy. Where does he want to take you?

Liz: Well, he got that new job and he said he wants to go a HOOKER bar on the Lower East Side to celebrate.

Me: A HOOKER bar? What the heck is that? He wants to take to pick up a hooker?

Liz: (very calmy) I don't know. I think so. That is pretty strange, but I asked your brother and he said it a fun place so I will probably go.

Me: My brother said a HOOKER bar was a fun place? He has been there?

Liz: Yeah, I guess he and Milton had been there before. The place is called Maradona, I think. He said it lounge-ish and the food is good.

Me: Liz, you freaking idiot. That is HOOKAH bar, not a HOOKER bar.

Liz: What's the difference?

Me: HOOKAHS are those large water tobacco pipes. HOOKERS are women paid for sex.

Liz: Jesus, that makes so much more sense. You think I should still go though, right?
